Maya: Projection Mapping

We were asked to create an environment in maya using projection mapping. Not very happy with the pier. I like the rest though, a few things could be tweeked but beside that all good :) Didn't mind the process once I got used to it and on a bigger scale it would be really cool to make. Surprised how much i enjoyed this! Had a lot of help from Ant, check out his blog: http://antgardenerstart.blogspot.co.uk/

Here's my finished work:

Maya: Red Box

This term in our Maya lessions we are learning how to create a world. This week I has a ago at turning a photo into a 3D object, here is a short glimse of it. I found this lesson went really well as I seemed to struggle last term, I'm really happy with the end result this week.

Walking Ball in Maya

I started animating my next project in Maya, this is only the first saved part for now.

Squishy Ball in Maya

For my next task i was asked to animate a ball bouncing around a space, using a stretch and squash rig. I feel pretty pleased with this, although i had planned to do much more. The only real problem is that I didn't render it properly before Play Blasting it, so it seems horribly pixualed!

Maya Bouncing Balls

Maya

Hopefully, this Youtube link will work!

The task was to animate two bouncing balls, at different weights. I feel I've produced this quite well as the balls look realistic; the larger ball loses most energy when it hits the ground on the first bounce, therefore it doesn't travel as far, compared to the smaller and lighter ball.

The begining of Maya

So I had my first lesson on Maya today, it seems really vast but is capable of creating brilliant projects. I tried out the animation of a bouncing ball on there this morning and it seems easy to start of with but making it look real took just as much work; I had to edit the motion as opposed to drawing.

I'm not sure if this link will work, hopefully its on youtube:
