Title Sequence Project: Initial Research

As part of research for my title sequence project I've looked into several sequences from recent films. I'm quite excited by this brief although I'm not sure which topic to focus on yet! I've arrangd a meeting with the people I will be working with next week to decide. Below are some notes I've made for research.

  • Beauty is Embarrassing:
    - 3D puppet style animation
    - camera follows characters walking
    - names pop up on buiding or dangle
    - cross over using speedy pans / curtains
    - happy western music
    - lots of fast camra pans

  • This Means War:
    - live action
    - close up shots of naked seductive women
    - maps projected over their skin
    - credits over a slick panel with dancing equaliser lines
    - rock muic, male vocals

  • Eva:
    - brown and black gradient background
    - partical plants like structures growing
    - beads of water connecting the structure
    - larger beads of water contains video footage
    - plants become more intricate like cogs and clockwork
    - orchestra music building suspense; choir voices enhance this

I watched these clips from this site: http://www.watchthetitles.com/collections/Film
