My main role in this project was to add colour to the backgrounds. I made them bright and colourful with inspiration from lybian artists Istaita and Jarbou. Below are the finished pieces which went into the title sequence. I'm happy with how they turned out in the end, if I have more time I would like to make them into one long piece so they work better when they scroll across in the final piece.
A blog following my work progression whilst studying at Falmouth University. I have taken a production pathway in my third year and worked on two main projects: Luminocity and Crocodile Tears. As well as producing I have continued to learn animation software. I enjoy editing videos, illustration and projection mapping - which I do as part of the group Twisted Vision.

Title Sequence: Animatic
I've made my section of the animatic for my title sequence. It doesn't quite match the style of the rest of my group so I need to develop that.

Title Sequence: Style Research
I've been researching a style for our title sequence. We've decided to make it around a biopic about Gaddafi. The main inspiration will be the title sequence to Aagey se right (http://www.artofthetitle.com/ title/aagey-se-right/).
Below are some of my style tests inpired by the Libyan artist Adel Darjou. There is also a animation test but its very rough.
Below is some research into the Libyan artist Mohamed Istaita. My group seems to prefer his style for the backgrounds.

Title Sequence Project: Research
I really enjoyed watching the title sequence for the X men film. The 2D synchronised dots moving around and transforming into things worked really well; it kept my eyes interested and darting around the screen.

I enjoyed the Cats and Dogs title sequence too, it has brilliant movement around the 3D space. http://www.watchthetitles.com/articles/00199-Cats_and_Dogs_The_Revenge_of_Kitty_Galore

Title Sequence Project: Initial Research
As part of research for my title sequence project I've looked into several sequences from recent films. I'm quite excited by this brief although I'm not sure which topic to focus on yet! I've arrangd a meeting with the people I will be working with next week to decide. Below are some notes I've made for research.
I watched these clips from this site: http://www.watchthetitles.com/collections/Film
- Beauty is Embarrassing:
- 3D puppet style animation
- camera follows characters walking
- names pop up on buiding or dangle
- cross over using speedy pans / curtains
- happy western music
- lots of fast camra pans
- This Means War:
- live action
- close up shots of naked seductive women
- maps projected over their skin
- credits over a slick panel with dancing equaliser lines
- rock muic, male vocals
- Eva:
- brown and black gradient background
- partical plants like structures growing
- beads of water connecting the structure
- larger beads of water contains video footage
- plants become more intricate like cogs and clockwork
- orchestra music building suspense; choir voices enhance this
