Chicken Fox: Backgrounds

We were asked to work on third year animation projects, and I have been helping out with Chicken Fox. A 2D animation using Cel Action directed and produced by Lana Okhrits. Here is the link to the chicken fox blog: http://animatorie.blogspot.co.uk/

I started helping out by creating some backgrounds. Lana taught me how to use the clipping mask tool in Photoshop and once I got the hang of it it worked out really nicely.

Here are the different verisons of backgrounds 3 and 4 I created. The first one is very basic because I was just getting used to the tools. I advanced by using the grass paint brish tool to help blend the shapes and also using the dodge and burn tools to add shading. After I created these backgrounds I passed them onto Freddie Horton who added the approapriate lighting and adjustments.
